2008…His work “Splattered landscape II”-Cloud’s echoing- for ensemble was selected by international juries to represent Malaysia to be performed by Ensemble Modern and conducted by Peter EÖTVÖS in the ISCM World Music Days 2008 “ Vilnius, Lithuania on 26th Oct. 2008.

2007…His work “Temple bell still ringing in my heart” for viola solo selected to be performed by violist Liesbeth Kok at the “ACL Asia Pacific Festival & Conference in Wellington, New Zealand.

2006...He was selected to participate the “Ensemble Modern International composer seminar” with Prof. Hanspeter KYBURZ (Switzerland/Germany) in Frankfurt. (Germany)

2005…He was selected to participate the “Workshop for young conductors & composer Herrenhaus Edenkoben (Germany)” with Prof. Peter EÖTVÖS (Hungary) & Prof. Zsolt NAGY (Hungary). Full scholarship granted by Herrenhaus Edenkoben in this workshop.

2004…His work “Mourning the murder of an old Banyan tree” for ensemble was selected by international juries to represent Malaysia to be performed by Ensemble fur Neue Musik Zurich in the ISCM World New Music Days 2004 “Trans-it” Switzerland on 11th Nov. 2004.

2004…Travels grant for his Europe concerts trips (Set.-Nov. 2004) from the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Malaysia.

2003…He was selected by the International juries for participating the “15th International Composition Seminar" in Boswil, Switzerland. Full scholarship granted by Boswil kunstlehaus for this seminar.

 
2003…He was selected to participate the “Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain, International Composition Seminar" in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland with Prof. Henri POUSSEUR. (Belgium). Full scholarship granted by Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain for this seminar.

 
2002-2004…He was selected as one of six Malaysian composers to participate in the inaugural “MPO Forum for Malaysian Composers”. (Phrase I [2003] for 6 composers & Phrase II [2004] for 4 composers) Mentoring by International composers Mr.Gerard BROPHY (Australia), Mr. Fraser TRAINER (United Kingdom) and Miss Sunetra FERNADOS. (Malaysia)

 
2002… He was selected to participate the “3rd Ictus ensemble International Composition Seminar” with Prof. Salvatore SCIARRINO (Italy). Full scholarship granted by Ictus ensemble for this seminar.

 
2001…He was selected to participate the “Centre Acanthes, Avignon, (France) Composition Summer Course” with Prof. Zoltan JANEY (Hungary) and Prof. Peter EÖTVÖS (Hungary). Full scholarship granted by Centre Acanthes for this summer course.
